A Love Letter to Myself

Dearest _______,

Know Thyself, Heal Thyself

This letter is long overdue. You have been chasing many ambitions and many people’s acceptance for a long time now. I hope you sincerely take the time to sit down and honour yourself for a moment because you deserve it.

It has been a whirlwind of a time for you this past year (and more). You have been balancing a lot. And balancing some things that carry really significant weight. Has anyone told you how strong you are? You are incredibly strong. The people around you see your strength, if you can, own that a little more.

It’s okay to be proud of yourself you know. You are allowed to be prideful in the person that you are.

You are a shining light and you make your surroundings brighter. You can live your life dimmed if you want, but that would personally make me very sad.

I see your potential. I see your worth. You are so incredibly valuable. Come out of that safe storage, buff yourself, and get out there on display.

You are gold.

People want to see you. You are not annoying. Your opinion is valid. You are not wrong. You can make your point. You can make a difference. Be part of positive and progressive change.

Do me a favour and each time that person in your head tells you otherwise, make sure to clap back with some compliments for yourself. I give you permission to focus on yourself. To be selfish. To build out your foundation. To give yourself extra support. You don’t need to second guess yourself anymore.

It’s okay to be good at something you know, just make sure to share your knowledge with others. People will not judge you for it. And if they do, let them be. They are not ready to be on your level.

I’ll see you on the next level up, I am waiting for you.

With kindness,

Myself.
